1.  Overpopulation

Concept of overpopulation is when a group of humans is more than the load capacity of the region occupied. Normally It's relation with the environment, to geographical areas how countries.
The overpopulation, also call overcrowded, is increase in births, a decline in mortally rates, increased immigration...

2.  Population evolution

The expansion of human population has never been linear. Since the “Black Death”, in the 14th century, the population has grown so quickly. Thanks to the medical advancements in the early 20th century population has grown quicker: in 1900 we were 3 billion; in 1960 we were 6 billion.
With the growing of population, the demand has grown too, but the resources, like land, food, water and natural products, like petroleum, are the same. This is a big problem of overpopulation: more people, same resources.

3.  Causes

From a historical perspective, technological revolutions have coincided with population explosions. There have been three major technological revolutions which allowed humans more access to food, resulting in subsequent population explosions.
Significant increases in human population occur whenever the birth rate exceeds the death rate for extended periods of time. Traditionally, the fertility rate is strongly influenced by cultural and social norms that are rather stable.
The way the world reacts to crises, by engaging in proactive measures or favouring "too little too late" measures by deluding themselves that populations will shrink due to calamities (in the short term they may), have a huge impact on future fertility rates; failure to provide stability results in far higher population numbers over the long term and sustained poverty.
For example: After the 2010 Haiti Earthquake study by the UNFPA, urban fertility rates tripled, intensifying grave long term implications for a nation already at unable to cope with the cycle of poverty. The Haitians now have an additional burden of accelerated population explosion and delayed demographic transition.

4.  Effects of overpopulation

The world's population has been booming for years. The population is now threatening to reach the stage where there are simply too many people for the planet to support.
Around 1850, the world population reached one billion. By 1987, it was at five billion and still rising rapidly.
The list of problems this is causing, or at least complicating, is a long one. It includes shortages of all our resources, war and social conflict, limits on personal freedom, overcrowding and the health and survival of other species.
The main effects of overpopulation are:
Lack of food (animal and vegetable)
    Lack of jobs
Lack of services (health, education, security, transport)
Lack of resources (water, sewer, electricity, fuel, gas and gasoline)
    Lack of greenery
    Homelessness
    Excess contamination
    Increased diseases
    Increased migration
    Warming

5.  Solutions for overpopulation

We have 4 ways to correct the human overpopulation:
  • Education
The absence of overpopulation problems in education is a growing problem. It is important to make known that the population is growing, but the resources are the same.
  • Family Planning
It is a little similar that the last point: educate and raising awareness to the families. Many governments sponsor family planning programs and clinics.
  • Tax Concessions
This third way to correct the human overpopulation is a little controverted: give money to couples who only have one or two children, and collect a tax for couples with 3 children or more.
China, for example, has put tax structures favouring smaller families.
  • Sex Education
Because there is not a good sexual education in school, teenagers have not known the benefits of contraceptives. That is why it’s too important to mention the taboo topics.

6.  Conclusion

Population is growing now and the problem too, so we have to educate and try to improve and fix the growing of population, because it’s an important problem of today’s society.
