Books read in home

I read 2 books in my home because I need read there for the exam.
The books called Lord Jim and The Bride Price; the Lord Jim is very tipical book that a man who he's study for be in the navigation. Jim was born in London and a few years later when he is old, he worked in the navegation until America. Journey to America spent many adventures, especially criminal environment as a merchant died. Jim accussed the murdered, but definitelly he could prove his salvation in prison.
The Bride Price talk about the poverty in the one of the family in Africa. Akun-na is the main character that her father was died when she was 16th. She and her brother, Ezequiel survive the life alone, because nobody care for them.
Finally Akun-na married with an african man and they have a Joy, them child.
In this last story that gives more pain, is that she dies in childbirth.

And the end of the book for this year call East 43rd Street. I hope I like it.
